Ada Ferguson is an emerging R&B/Soul vocalist and songwriter based in Vancouver, BC. Inspired by her parents, her influences range from her early love of Motown, Folk and Blues, and new infusions of Funk, Jazz, and R&B. 

 

Ada released her debut single, Lost on you, in September 2021; she has also released a collaboration with classmate Nathan Browns - a product of the Vancouver Community College's Singer/Songwriter program. She is continuing work on other original material for future releases, as well as collaborating with classmates and friends on multiple projects. 

 

Ada began musical exploration at an early age, growing up in a musical household, singing in church and school choirs, and doing her own deep listening dives well before her teen years. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Ada has resided in Vancouver with her two children for the last 8 years. She splits her time between studying songwriting at Vancouver Community College, and performing with the Good Noise Vancouver Gospel Choir, directed by Gail Suderman.

 

Prior to pursuing a degree in music, Ada received a BA in History, graduating with Honors from University of Utah. She is also involved in special needs advocacy within the public education sector. Ada is an avid baker, dabbles in gardening, and enjoys reading neuroscience journals and biographies.
